As a child of divorced parents at the age of 3, David moved around living in Florida, Connecticut, California, including a short period across the pond in England. Returning to the US with a British accent as a kid made for an easy target, but many lessons were learned.
As a teenager, he moved back to Florida and would graduate high school and attend the University of Central Florida (Go Knights!) where he Majored in Marketing and graduated with a Business Degree.
Life would lead David down many paths, filled with obstacles, challenges, and difficulties. He lost his long-term job, suffered a horrific leg injury almost losing his leg, and struggled to find his true purpose in life. Then, he found voiceover. He found a place for his creative vision and talent to flourish. A community that helped each other, cheered one another on, and gave unending support.
But the most impactful path he traveled, was finding the GVAA. Originally a student, he was fortunate enough to be mentored by their owner and founder, Cristina Milizia. After needing rate advice and getting resources from Cristina, David created a rate guide that became the inspiration for and genesis of the GVAA Rate Guide. Shortly thereafter, he joined the staff in a finance and operations capacity. Since that time, he’s become an integral part of the organization’s growth and development, and now serves as the Chief Operations Officer managing all business operations of the GVAA.
David found an outlet to use his business and marketing skills to help people learn and pursue their dreams while making a meaningful impact to an ever growing and changing industry. The experiences he’s been afforded and lessons he’s learned in his time at the GVAA have been invaluable to his development as a person and actor and have served to improve his voiceover business. He couldn’t be more grateful and proud.
As a proud UCF Knights season ticket holder, David attends UCF Football games during college football season. When not behind the mic or in front of the computer, you’ll find David shooting and editing photos or video, traveling, swimming, cooking, or playing guitar.
